Suitable – Flexible – Comfortable – Stackable - Adaptable
We were approached to design a simple, affordable and comfortable stackable chair that could be used in many different types of commercial and domestic settings. The starting point was to reduce and simplify the number of elements: two different tubular steel legs, a plywood seat and a back that wraps around. The bends of the tubular steel are defined by the stacking requirements. The shape of the seat is a softened square without any complex moulding and the seat back wraps around and dips so that it forms small armrests. The chair is supplied in a wide variety of finishes and the seat can also be upholstered if required.
