The Arcadia, Singapore

One of our long standing clients moved to Singapore and into an apartment in The Arcadia condominium by CKSP Architects built in the early 1980s. This is one of our favourite apartment buildings in Singapore because it responds very well to its tropical environment with large balconies and its vertical landscaping, inspired by the hanging gardens of Babylon.
The main living space that occupies the central bay in the apartment was divided into two: the formal entertaining area that flowed into the spectacular wraparound balcony with views over the city, and a quieter private family space behind, with the window onto the internal courtyard.
